Full Text of the Daily Journal:

Zalmay Khalilzad, an Afghan and advisor to the U.S. President, accused Iran in an interview of causing disruptions in Afghanistan, asserting that there are two governments in Iran, which he claims are related to opponents of the President and the Foreign Minister. He implicated the Quds Force and a group called Lashkar Muhammad (PBUH) in these allegations.

In the United States, thousands of Jews, invited by rabbis, protested in front of the Israeli embassy, declaring that Zionism is outside the Jewish faith. They stated that establishing a Jewish state is not permissible in Judaism before the coming of the Messiah, and therefore the Israeli government is illegitimate. Similar opinions exist among Shia Muslims, who argue that no legitimate Islamic government has the right to be established before the appearance of Imam Mahdi (PBUH).

Due to poor weather and the inaccessibility of the crash site of the Tupolev plane, no bodies have yet been recovered. The rain and snow falling tonight have made the situation more difficult, and the number of passengers is reported to be 119. A group of officials from the Jihad Construction Organization, the Ministry of Interior, doctors, and four Spanish nationals were among the passengers.

A number of professors from Azad University who are involved in the Quran and Ahl al-Bayt program came to report. Mr. [Abdollah] Jassbi and [Mohammad Ali] Khajepiri reported that 2,600 individuals have signed up. One of the professors, [Mr. Yaghoob Pourjamal, a professor at Azad University, Tabriz branch], who has memorized the entire Quran, performed well in the examination. They also mentioned that two managers from Azad University were among the passengers of the Tupolev plane. I encouraged them during our conversation and gifted each of them a copy of the Quran Dictionary.

Mr. [Seyyed Mohammad] Gerami and his son [Seyyed Mohammadreza] came to see me. They are in conflict with Mr. Shamsai, their former partner, who allegedly used blank checks in his possession to create a $12 million debt for Mr. Gerami's son, leading to his imprisonment; they sought my assistance for his release.

Mr. [Mehdi] Takiei and [Mohammad Reza] Vafaee, managers of the Qom Society of Tehran Residents, presented a plan to create a model Islamic community in Qom. I found their proposal somewhat idealistic and a bit fanciful. I provided feedback to clarify their suggestions. Engineer Takiei had previously submitted special proposals during the war while working in the Revolutionary Guard's industries.

In the evening, the Board of Trustees of Azad University held a meeting. We approved regulations for transferring students between units, increasing staff salaries, requesting foreign currency loans from the National Bank of Dubai, establishing several new units, creating a university partnership with reputable global institutions, accepting Iranian students studying abroad, and establishing a national credit cooperative for university members.

Mohsen, [the chairman of the board and CEO of the Metro Company], reported that during a session of the Tehran City Council, a Resalat newspaper reporter stated that an envelope containing anthrax powder had been sent to Mr. Ali Larijani’s office, and several individuals have been contaminated. I asked Mr. Larijani about this; he confirmed it. Today, Mr. [Morteza] Alaviri, the Mayor of Tehran, resigned. Reports have emerged of armed robberies at several banks and jewelry stores.
