Full Entry of the Day:

In the morning, blood was drawn for a blood sugar test. I spent most of my active time today writing an introduction for the memoirs from 1982, producing about 30 pages related to the memoir content. Thank God, we had rain last night and today as well. The newspapers continue to pay considerable attention to the conflict between the Guardian Council and the Parliament, with counterattacks against the movements of Parliament members starting to emerge. Western media are supporting the Parliament, which has forwarded the issue to the Expediency Discernment Council.

In Gilan, we experienced a severe storm that caused damages. The trial of those attending the Berlin Conference is currently a significant issue, with Akbar Ganji facing a public trial.

After some hesitation, the government of Qatar has finally yielded and closed the Israeli trade office in Doha. It was announced that the President of Iran and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia will also attend the conference. The U.S. elections have encountered difficulties; the votes in Florida, which has 25 electoral votes, have become contentious. The results are close, with both sides claiming a majority. Initially, it was announced that Bush was the winner, and Al Gore, along with the Presidents of Germany and France, as well as Yasser Arafat, the President of the Palestinian Authority, congratulated Bush on his victory, but serious doubts remain. For the past two days, there has been a recount of the votes, with high-level delegations from both sides monitoring the process.
