Continuing Hashemi's Account of Mohammad Khatami's Remarks on Student Day

Hashemi's Recommendations and Considerations for Mohsen Hashemi as the Publisher of the 1982 Memoirs Prior to Printing and Distribution

In Light of Criticisms Regarding Ayatollah Montazeri's Memoirs and Ayatollah Khamenei's Critique in Recent Meetings with Hashemi, the Arrest of Saeed Montazeri and Several Members of His Office by the Special Clergy Prosecutor's Office

Full Entry of the Day:

I spent the day at home, reviewing bulletins and reports related to Palestine. Both domestic and foreign media have covered yesterday's student gathering and Mr. Khatami's remarks, each from their own perspective and agenda. Foreign media continue to pursue a divisive agenda. In the evening, Mohsen visited and we discussed notes regarding the second half of the 1982 memoirs, which are ready for publication.

Saeed, the son of Ayatollah Montazeri, along with several members of his office, has been arrested. Ahmad Montazeri, Ayatollah Montazeri's son, stated in an interview with foreign Persian-language radios that they were reportedly detained for attempting to publish Ayatollah Montazeri's memoirs without official permission. Yesterday, many universities held ceremonies for Student Day, and statements from Islamic associations affiliated with the Office for Strengthening Unity were released, most of which have a sharp tone, directing attacks towards the judiciary and specifically against Mr. Seyed Mahmoud Hashemi Shahrudi, the head of the judiciary.

Tonight, the Florida Supreme Court is expected to rule on Al Gore's request for reconsideration, according to reports from foreign media.
