Complete Daily Entry:

I spent the entire day at home, immersed in reading. I reviewed the introduction by Mr. [Mohammad] Vaez Zadeh [Khorasani] to the book "Jame al-Ahadith [al-Shi'ah]." This book was commissioned by Ayatollah [Seyyed Hussein] Borujerdi and serves as preparation for the inauguration of the Dar al-Qareeb [for Islamic Religions] and highlights Ayatollah Borujerdi's role in modern history.

Mahdi, the CEO of the Fuel Consumption Optimization Company, provided a report on the results of converting fuel subsidies and equitably distributing benefits to the population. He stated that this approach is not only equitable but also promotes fuel savings and energy conservation, benefits the lower classes, and leaves something for the government. He also reported on the progress of the vehicle conversion to gas project and made suggestions for social science courses at Islamic Azad University. I also discussed the introduction of the memoirs from 1982 with Mohsen and spent some time reading and editing Fatemeh's memoirs; they have been well-edited. Additionally, I dedicated some time to correcting the indices for Volume 12 of the "Interpretation Guide."

For the past two or three days, there has been armed conflict between Shia and Sunni groups in the northwestern region of Pakistan, resulting in casualties. Terrorism is prevalent in Pakistan. The outbreak of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (mad cow disease) in Germany and France has led many countries worldwide to impose bans on beef imports from Europe.

The arrest of approximately 250 individuals on Christmas Eve in Tehran due to immoral activities, which included several foreigners, has generated a wave of negative publicity against Iran in Western media. The death of six Italian soldiers serving in the Balkans from a mysterious illness has reignited criticism regarding the use of uranium in American munitions.
