The ideological and political managers of the army came. Mr. Seyed Mahmoud Alavi Lamerdy, head of the Army's Ideological and Political Organization, presented a report, and I spoke about the importance of the armed forces and the army, as well as the ideological and political duties in nurturing the faith of the forces and promoting the army's role. They requested 400 copies of my books, which I told them to provide gradually. Mr. Maghsoud Naeimi and Mr. Mohammad Noor Ghorbani, officials in charge of publishing history and culture who prepare children's books, came to request assistance in purchasing books from organizations.

The Presiding Committee of the Consolidation Commission of Parliament came. They explained the points of disagreement with the Guardian Council and requested expedited review by the Expediency Council. Their main concern was the Council's opposition to borrowing from abroad and the regionalization of some credits. Mr. Ali Larijani, head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, came with a proposal that the Council exercise its right to address some budget issues.

In the evening, Mr. Mohammad Jafari Langarudi, head of the Islamic Propaganda Office in Qom, came. He expressed strong grievances against the leadership office for excessive interference in the affairs of the Qom Propaganda Office and provided inaccurate and negative reports from the Ministry of Intelligence, stating he wished to step down.

Dr. Ramadan Abdullah Shalah, the leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Organization, and his colleagues came. They provided an analysis regarding the Intifada, stating that Ariel Sharon, leader of the Likud Party in Israel, is likely to win, halting the peace process, and ultimately, Sharon may not be able to secure a second term, leading to a deadlock. They requested that the Islamic Republic pay more attention to the Islamic Jihad Organization, stating they explicitly support Iran's policy, but Hamas is unwilling to support it. For this reason, Arab countries are not supportive of Jihad and are aiding Hamas. Mr. Mahdi Karroubi, the head of Parliament, called for the Expediency Council to expedite the budget review. In the evening, we were guests of Mr. Hossein Kamali, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, along with cabinet members and their families.
