The claim of asylum by a person named Behbahani, falsely claiming to be a former official of the Ministry of Intelligence, in Turkey.

The Ministry of Intelligence, in a statement, revealed the true identity of this individual who claimed to be a senior official of the Ministry.

The statement said: "In late 1991, following an armed robbery, he was pursued by the authorities and illegally left Iran to escape the law. He fled to Iraq with one of his accomplices.

After seeking asylum in Iraq, he joined the Mujahideen-e Khalq (MEK) and received various espionage training for seven years. On April 11, 2017, following extensive investigations under the supervision of the International Committee of the Red Cross, he was officially handed over to the Islamic Republic of Iran as an Iranian prisoner.

From the outset, he confessed to his crimes, including collaborating with the MEK, and after undergoing legal proceedings, he was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment. He was recently released on temporary leave from prison and illegally fled to Turkey. The available documents will soon be made available to the media."

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reported that a fugitive Iranian named Ahmad Behbahani in Turkey claimed to be the head of Iran's foreign operations and that the Lockerbie bombing, for which Libyan defendants are currently on trial, was planned, ordered, and carried out with Iranian assistance. It is clear that this is a new plot against Iran.

I was at home and spent most of my time studying the Atlas of Iranian History and ethical discussions for Friday prayers.
