In the evening, the board of directors from Khorasan Industries came. They provided a report on the state of industry in the province and stated that, during the Reconstruction era, the industry of the province progressed as much as it would have in half a century, and the number of industries, which before the revolution was less than 200 small and outdated units, has now reached 2,500 units, including significant industries. There are 90,000 people employed in the province's industry, and the Central Asian market has also helped boost the sales of the province's products. They sought assistance to amend labor and tax laws and to prevent the discrediting of industrious entrepreneurs with terms like capitalist and rent-seeker, etc. They expressed grievances towards the parliament for using these terms in recent sessions and noted that the advanced world refers to capitalists as entrepreneurs to encourage and highlight the value of work.

In the evening, Mr. Ali Larijani, head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), informed me that the parliament and the Guardian Council have disagreed on several issues, and it has been decided that the budget bill will come to the Expediency Council. He requested that the processing of the budget be expedited. For the first time, the budget bill is being referred to the council. Today, the discussions in the parliament were intense and contentious.
