Full Text of the Daily Notes:

Before noon, I attended a ceremony at the Imam's shrine to commemorate February 1, the day of mercy marking Imam Khomeini's return to the country after years of exile. Hassan Khomeini welcomed us and gave a brief speech. I delivered an extensive speech about the significance of February 1 and 22 and the important milestones of the revolution in terms of form and content.

Mr. Majid Ansari, Chairman of the Joint Budget and Planning Commission, reported that there was a serious altercation today in the commission between Mr. Akbar Alami, a representative from Tabriz, and Mr. Rajabali Mazrouei, a representative from Isfahan, both of whom are known for their leftist positions. This altercation has created a tense atmosphere in the Majlis. Just the day before, a group of representatives had an altercation with the leadership and Mr. Mehdi Karroubi, the Speaker of the Majlis, which led to the resignation of Mr. Ismail Jabarzadeh, also a representative from Tabriz.

Two contradictory letters have been issued from the Majlis regarding the judiciary. The majority faction condemned the behavior of the courts, while the minority faction supported the Tehran judiciary. Discussions surrounding the trial of the serial murders, the Berlin conference, and issues related to media directors and Mustafa Tajzadeh, the Deputy Minister of Interior and Head of the Country's Election Headquarters, have become contentious and heated. Foreign media are also actively working to weaken the judiciary.

In the afternoon, Mr. Mahmoud Amjad, a cleric from Tehran, visited and discussed his propaganda activities, requesting copies of my interpretation books.

Rumors have circulated regarding agreements between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, with both sides denying parts of these claims.

In Indonesia, tensions are escalating, with the army threatening to intervene and urging political factions to cease conflicts and focus on reforming the country. In Turkey, where conflicts are common in the parliament, a recent altercation resulted in the death of one representative. An international court acquitted one Libyan citizen while sentencing another to life imprisonment, leading Libyans to regret their decision to extradite the two suspects in the Lockerbie bombing. The U.S. has stated that sanctions will continue.
