"An Introduction to the Islamic Revolution" is written by Dr. Sadegh Zibakalam, a professor of political science at the University of Tehran. In this book, Zibakalam attempts to provide an analysis of why the revolution occurred—a question that has occupied many domestic and foreign political thinkers and theorists. In this book, in addition to trying to present and critique some of these theories, Zibakalam also attempts to substantiate his own analysis of the occurrence of the Islamic Revolution and, alongside the "why," to also answer the "how" of the revolution.
